I understand that every student has unique learning needs and styles. That's why I create a customised learning plan for each of my students that helps them achieve their academic goals.

French Tuition

I offer tuition for students studying GCSE French, covering all 4 exam requirements: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. I also offer AS and A-Level tuition, building on foundation skills learnt at GCSE to develop a higher linguistic ability and further explore Francophone culture and society.

Drama Tuition

I offer bespoke tuition for the GCSE Drama writing exam; students study both the set text and write about and evaluate live theatre.

English Tuition

I offer lessons in all elements of the GCSE Language and Literature exams.

Editorial Services

If you require help with editing a memoir or manuscript, or preparing a formal report, I offer an editorial service to help you achieve your goals.

I also work with students who are writing coursework, preparing personal statements for University applications and Btec. Diploma students.

Academic Coaching

I offer academic coaching to help students set goals, stay organised, and develop strategies for academic success. I help students build confidence and motivation and provide ongoing support.

'Last February I contacted Karen through a mutual friend. I was about to take my GCSE”s and struggled with my mocks in both English Language and English Literature.Through Karen’s mentoring and tutoring I passed both exams at two grades higher than my mocks.

Ongoing support

I am now studying a BTEC in Sport and along with exams have many assignments. I contacted Karen again to see if she was happy to look through my completed pieces. She did this, and suggested a few amendments. She checked with me on some points and talked me through where she felt I could improve. With her invaluable help and guidance I gained 4 out of 4 distinctions.
